I was too busy with work that I didn't have the time to blog yesterday. Though I had that little time to read blog hop. hohoho. I'm so glad that I have internet access. My other IA didn't have internet access as his job scope didn't require him to have it.
I'm comfortably sipping my tea and dipping my biscuits in it. My manager is in a meeting, hence, I have nothing to do! =)

I cannot agree more when Uncle Hong Aik (UHA) said that we (youths in church) need a core group (leaders). Not to mention the parents of the new coming youths, even me, I don't know who to look for when events come up and stuff.
The people in-charge are always the people organising whichever activities. But the people who organises the activities always changes! There's no permanent person that kinda thing?
We are a youth group, so the youths will have to run it.
Sarah will be sending out an email to the youths saying, whoever is interested in the youth, do come to my place this Sunday. The response might be good. But I was thinking, who will be the real ones willing to commit in the long run?
Frankly speaking, I'm not really encouraging those Tab and below to come forward. Before you say anything, listen to what I have to say first, will you?
I know Tab and some youths are very hyper about doing things for the youth group. However, this core group should consist of people that manages the youth group - managing level (ML). The rest who are not in it, are in the operational level (OL). Everyone still has to play a part.
Now coming to main question: Why am I not encouraging the younger ones to come?
Answer: It's not that the younger ones are not capable enough. In fact they might be more capable than the older ones! It's just that, they will get their turn when we (older ones) step down from the ML. It is also very true when UHA said that the younger ones will not think as far as the older ones would. Like maybe the older ones will take notice of details the younger ones won't.
To be more blunt, the younger ones want fun. It is not wrong to have fun. Lan is fun, but is it beneficial in the long run? Do you call that real fellowship? I don't really know how to play, but what I see them conversing in it are : 'bra centre', 'all come back to base', 'wa lao der!', 'help', 'heal me char'. And I will just be asking the person beside me, 'eh, what to buy next ar?', 'when i reach how much then i can buy the next thing?'
Is that all that you wanna communicate with each other?
As youths from church, don't we want to prove to the outside world that we're different from those non-believers? We should be influencing others rather than get influenced.
p/s: I'm not saying all these to show that I'm so angelic or whatsoever. I'm just voicing out since no one would. I do make mistakes, sometimes I would choose fun over having DG too. If anyone were to get angry, I don't know what to say.
For example,
Me: Why are you so stupid, never think of it!
You: You very clever meh! blah blah blah..
In this situation, I deserve to be scolded. Like, who am I to tell others that they are stupid?
BUT if it's like this,
Me: Why are we so stupid, never think of it!
You: You very clever meh! blah blah blah.
In this situation, I don't think I deserve to be scolded? Do I? When I say the youth group, am I not part of the youth? If you tell me I'm not, okay, you can scold me for criticising the youth.
Aiya, I don't even know you guys understand or not. Never mind, at least I take something off my chest. Actually I don't have to explain so much, I just have to say my piece. I'm not scolding anyway. Just bringing it up. However, there will be KIDS in the cyberspace who will misinterpret my words. Grrr.

On a happy note, I'm having cell tonight at Tab's place! It's so far, but I don't mind going. haha. Actually travelling is not a problem for me, since I like to stone.

I went to a christening ceremony of a ship the day before yesterday. It was nothing grand, I just had the chance to go on board a small ship. I went into the engine room, saw the compressor, generator and stuff. I knocked my head against a pipe! I'm having this small bump on my head. Lol.
They have a lounge and a gallery (eatery). It's quite nice okay! I wonder if it's nice because it's a brand new ship? haha. I guess so. I saw a few crews eating at the gallery. The food they were eating, yummy! Looks nice. It's western. heh.
The vice-president of Hong Leong Finance came to talk to my friend and I. It's a lady! I inspire to be like her! haha. As I was there, the lady managers looked better than the men! haha. I think it's because I'm quite sick of looking at guys in their formal wear. Like, it's all over the street. The ladies, woah! I wanna be able to wear like them too! =D
Best if I can open my own shipping company. Lol. Okay, I'm thinking a little too far. But it's not that bad to have goals what! Er, maybe not goals... ambitions! Don't you love to talk about ambitions when you were in primary school? hahah.
The girls will want to be models, air stewardesses, teachers, nurses etc. haha! The boys will want to be doctors, policemen, lawyers and such. Familiar? Lol. =D
Ooooh, I've digressed so much.
Basically, there's nothing much la. Yup. After that went to Christabel's house. There was when I wanted to blog about the youths thing. heh.

I'm waiting for lunch time! I'm so hungry! I need to take passport sized photos for my pass to go on board ship to survey/inspect the ship and also my driving.

Should I take it now, since I'm practically doing the same old stuff everyday. I reckoned that when school re-opens, I will not have the heart to go and take my license. I would wanna go out with my school friends. Lol. I can drive to school if my dad goes overseas to work! hahah. That's if my mom allows me to take over the car. hahaha.
That's about all lar.
