Hey! Did you guys enjoy your long weekend?!
Package Outing - 1st May
We were suppose to meet up at 3pm. Min came at around 4pm. The rest? 6pm. Late, forever late! Everytime we meet Alex and Arthur, we have make it an hour earlier. Now, it's getting worse. Though I cannot really blame them as it was raining. BUT, before the rain started, they could have met up with us already. They went to withdraw money. !!!!!
Why am I angry that they are withdrawing money? lol. Look, I told them about today's outing way before hand. The train station has an ATM. Why did they walk out of the station then they realised they had no money with them??? No sense of time.
They went to Funan IT Mall to withdraw their money (it was pouring by then). They didn't want to come back as it was raining. So they ate Swensens there instead. WOW! Did they have the decency to at least sms/call us to tell us they'll be eating? NO!
The good thing is, the 3 of us were smart enough to order finger food and drinks to eat. Both of them are guys/boys, no sense of responsibility? Not even a little bit? I really pity Fas.
Though we met up, but somehow I felt we wasted that public holiday away doing nothing.
Next,
I went on board today. EM (my attachment partner) and I went on board with two other surveyors. We learnt what we can never learn in school. Went into the engine room, bridge, took a look at the life boats. This boat is really old. Built in 1962. 40++ yrs! Woah. It's a passenger ship. It sails to no where. Meaning, it'll sail out and around S'pore.. mainly to facilitate people who wants to gamble. The C/O took us to the casino. It's really small. haha. Nothing compared to the big and nice ones we see on television. hahaha.
I hope our Dep. Dir will bring us to bigger ships! Like the bulk carrier, container ships or even the VLCC (very large crude carrier)! I really hope I can go there. haha.
The crews on board were very scared at first, of us. We are the authority and we can detain their ship if we find that the ship does not comply with the regulations and stuff. We wanted to see the 10 mandatory certificates, the agent took it with him. The Master of the ship quickly called the agent and tell him that the Port State Inspectors want to see them! The agent 'flew' back and passed it to us. hahaha.
We went to check the engine room. It was so noisy! No wonder engineers (at least for marine engineers) are quite deaf. haha. They were suppose to open and close the watertight doors. One of the doors could close, but it took quite a long time to open. They got all tensed up and said, "I'll call the bridge and ask them to open it.. Wait wait."
We went up and took a look at the life boats. Wow, one life boat can take up to 70 people! It's very funny. I took a picture, I'll post it up later. They actually drew semi-circles for the butts. haha..
Back to the Master's room. They served us juice. haha. Our surveyors was quite relaxed by now, the crews were relaxed too. hahah. They passed all the criterias. Except for the emergency engine part, it was spoiled and they are waiting for the company to order the spare parts. The company always delay in ordering because these parts can be very expensive.
We didn't wanna write it down, but the Master told us that we better write it down in the report. He said, "I asked the company to order for us already... But they always say aiya, wait wait... very expensive... Better write, better write." hahah! They want us to write so that the spare parts would come very fast. Because we're the government! haha. Government write letter, the company scared leh. haha. We said okay, we'll write. Then the Master said, "Ok ok, good. You write, then company will order very fast." --- All of them spoke in a foreign accent. I kinda like it. haha. Very cute! Esp the C/E. =DD -drools-
That's all for the surveying of ships. I think I'll be surveying for the next two days. haha. I want bigger ships! =D
Camp meeting tonight, Driving tomorrow, Cell on Thursday and Tennis on Friday. PACKED! =))
Oh ya, I'll be quitting tennis in a month's time. My dad says he wants us to stop because he's not training us to become pros. haha. He says as long as I've learnt the basics, I won't forget. It's just that you'll need longer warm-up time. hahaha.
Next,
"sorry seems to be the hardest word."
I heard this sentence over a song on the radio the other day. I feel that it no longer stands true though. 'Sorry' is so commonly used that it doesn't hold anymore meaning.
Does people still know the meaning of 'sorry'?
Saying sorry doesn't only mean feel bad over it, but also stop doing what you've done. I will only say sorry (the more serious ones) to those I love. What for I say sorry to a stranger? It hurt him/her, but does it concern me? haha. It's just me lar.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying if I step a person's foot I would just ignore and walk away lar! That's basic manners. I have it ok! lol. =D
Next,
Some people can be soooooooooo........... childish. It's not that I'm very matured. It's time you stop living in your own world. ARRGH! I can't stand it anymore. (And please don't ask me to sit!!! grr. I'm angry okayy... tsk.) Almost everyone thinks you need time to grow up. Don't talk to me about this topic if you disagree.
I know who will agree... hahahha. the ex-ballerina. lol! =D
